Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of&nbsp;enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (STARLINK) - 2ND SHIFT - LEVEL 4/5<br></span></strong></p> <p><span data-contrast="auto">The Industrial Maintenance Technician at SpaceX works in a fast-paced environment that will oversee the installation and maintenance of our heavy industrial equipment such as cranes,&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="none">compressed air systems</span><span data-contrast="auto">, and </span><span data-contrast="none">overhead doors</span><span data-contrast="auto"> by third-party contractors to support the production of Starlink. This role will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment as well as installing new equipment, performing regular services, performing maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will use all the tools at your disposal to ensure reliability of the industrial equipment and any associated support equipment. This will involve corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance techniques, as well as operational and design feedback for maintaining and improving all systems at&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="none">Starlink</span><span data-contrast="auto"> facilities.</span></p> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Read and interpret engineering blueprints and work instructions</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Install new production support equipment, ground support equipment, and/or launch support equipment</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain and install all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Inspect and assess functionality of critical facility systems (cranes, elevators, compressed air, and </span><span data-contrast="none">overhead doors</span><span data-contrast="auto">)</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns of overhead cranes, </span><span data-contrast="none">overhead doors</span><span data-contrast="auto">, and air compressors</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Source replacement parts and liaison with vendors</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Communicate and schedule production impacts with the production team</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Prepare and submit maintenance reports</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid damage and restore full use of affected system (compressed air, water, or hydraulic)</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Identify and troubleshoot damaged electrical wiring</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Assist HVAC team in maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly when surges of workload occur</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-ccp-props="{}">Demonstrates the ability to safely lead energized work. (JHA, energized work permit, PPE requirements)</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></p> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="auto">High school diploma or equivalency certificate</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">5+ years of professional experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, fluid, or control systems</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="auto">In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">5+ years of experience troubleshooting electrical controls systems (Building automation, machinery, production automation)</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">3+ years of experience programming and troubleshooting PLC’s, VFD’s and similar components</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">3+ years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining compressed air systems and equipment (non-reciprocating Air compressors)</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Basic computer and report-writing skills</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to record, report, and articulate condition of equipment and recommended repairs or corrective actions</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment with the use of cranes, forklifts, and/or similar equipment</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Knowledge in the following areas: HVAC, electrical safety, pneumatic principles, tubing, pipe-fittings, rotating machinery (pumps, air compressors, etc.), machining, and welding</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience in the following fields: (AC) alternating current and (DC) direct current electrical, and aerospace</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Knowledge of high-pressure gas, flammable gas, refrigeration gases, and recovery</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Operational knowledge multi-meter and operation of various hand tools and power tools</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="auto"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Must be able to work the 2nd shift: 2:00pm- 12:00AM</span></span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to become forklift certified</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small opening and climbing hand over hand, lifting 40 lbs. unassisted, and working on ladders/lifts at elevated heights</span></li> <li> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends to meet critical deadlines if needed</span></p> </li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to support flight hardware road transport as needed</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span
