We built Mutiny to solve this problem. Mutiny is the self-improving AI infrastructure for GTM teams to execute faster and close more revenue. Our ambition: do for revenue velocity what Cursor and Claude Code did for engineering velocity. With Mutiny, everyone in sales and marketing gets a bench of GTM athletes that handle any work across their revenue motion and learn from what's actually moved their deals. From breaking into new verticals and personas to personalizing every interaction with every customer, Mutiny takes on the manual work so your team can run faster.
Mutiny was founded in 2018. By Silicon Valley's scoreboard, we had made it: $72M raised from YC and Sequoia, and eight-figure ARR from companies like Uber and Snowflake. But we could see AI was about to rewrite how GTM works, and we wanted to lead that transformation for our industry. MRR is growing at 100% week-over-week, 10x faster than any product we have launched, with customers like Rippling, Uber, Snowflake, Zendesk, and Gusto. Now it’s time to grow the team that will help us build a generational company.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As we scale, the bottleneck shifts. It's no longer just execution, it's understanding how the business actually works. Where do we make money? What's driving conversion? What's working across segments, pricing, and GTM motions? Most companies answer these questions too slowly, or not at all. We're looking for someone who can connect the dots between data, systems, and revenue, and turn that into something actionable. This is a foundational hire and a chance to define what strategic finance looks like inside an AI-native company.
What You'll Own
You'll own the financial and operational model of how Mutiny grows. You'll build and maintain models that explain what's happening across the business (pipeline, conversion, revenue, expansion) and where to focus. You'll work closely with GTM, product, and leadership to turn those insights into action. That means:

Building revenue and funnel models that actually reflect reality

Partnering with GTM teams to understand what's driving outcomes

Identifying where we're inefficient or leaving money on the table

Designing systems and workflows that improve how we operate

Translating data into recommendations that leadership can act on This is not a reporting role. You'll go from "here's what's happening" to "here's what we should do" to "here's the system that makes it happen."
WHO YOU ARE
You understand how businesses actually work. You can connect metrics to real drivers of revenue. You're highly analytical. You're comfortable building models and working with messy data. You think in systems. You don't just analyze, you design how things should work. You're hands-on. You're willing to get into tools, data, and workflows, not just slide decks. You're methodological and organized. You bring structure to ambiguity. You move fast. You can go from question to model to insight to action quickly. You're cross-functional. You can work with sales, product, and leadership and translate between them. What you bring:

Background in strategic finance, consulting, banking, or similar

Experience working closely with GTM, product, or operations teams

Strong modeling and analytical skills

Ability to translate data into actionable insights

Comfort working in ambiguity and building structure

Based in, or willing to relocate to, New York City This role probably isn't for you if you're looking for a traditional FP&A or accounting role, if you prefer working in spreadsheets without influencing how the business operates, or if you need clearly defined scope and processes.
