About the Role
Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 Alpha - our rapidly developed humanoid platform now running in real industrial pilots - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.
What You’ll Do
-
Define and lead Humanoid’s end-to-end manufacturing strategy from low-volume prototyping to scalable global production.
-
Build and manage a high-performance manufacturing team, including production, quality, and operations personnel.
-
Lead the planning and execution of our first manufacturing facility, including site selection, layout design, and equipment procurement.
-
Develop capacity plans aligned with business objectives, NPI timelines, and long-term demand forecasts.
-
Establish world-class manufacturing processes and systems focused on automation, lean production, and precision assembly.
-
Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting efficiency, quality, cost, and throughput.
-
Implement manufacturing KPIs and process control systems to track performance and maintain operational excellence.
-
Collaborate closely with R&D, hardware engineering, and product design teams to ensure manufacturability (DFM) and smooth NPI transitions.
-
Work with supply chain, procurement, and finance to ensure alignment across sourcing, cost control, and production readiness.
-
Act as a strategic voice in product development, providing input on design tradeoffs and factory feasibility.
-
Establish and oversee rigorous quality systems and regulatory compliance protocols across all manufacturing activities.
-
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to resolve production issues swiftly and sustainably.
-
Ensure manufacturing meets relevant safety and certification standards (e.g., ISO, CE, UL).
We’re Looking For
-
10+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles within hardware-intensive industries such as robotics, automotive, aerospace, or advanced machinery.
-
Proven success in scaling production from prototype to high-volume manufacturing.
-
Deep knowledge of modern manufacturing methodologies, including lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
-
Technical fluency across mechanical, electrical, and software-integrated systems.
-
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate across product, engineering, and operations.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in capacity planning, cost analysis, and factory operations.
Bonus Points
-
Experience setting up greenfield manufacturing facilities or scaling startup operations.
-
Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and digital manufacturing platforms.
-
Background in DFM, DFA, and automation of complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
-
Passion for robotics, AI, and building the future of human-machine collaboration.
