Fortune and Fortune Media IP Limited are not affiliated with, and do not endorse products or services of GitLab.</em></p></div><h2>An overview of this role</h2> <p>As a CPQ Developer at GitLab, you will be the core hands-on expert designing, implementing, and optimizing our Zuora Configure-Price-Quote solution as part of our Quote-to-Cash processes. You will configure, customize, and maintain a scalable CPQ platform that supports accurate quoting, subscription management, and reliable data flow across systems such as Salesforce and other integrated finance tools. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders and Enterprise Applications Engineering team members to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, build and refine integrations, and ensure our product catalog and pricing models can support rapid growth. Your work will directly impact how deals are structured, billed, and recognized, helping to power our company's expansion. You will also collaborate with onshore and non-US teams, support data migration and reporting efforts, and troubleshoot high-impact issues in production environments. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine deep Zuora CPQ and Salesforce development expertise with end-to-end business process ownership, all within GitLab's remote, asynchronous, and values-driven environment.</p> <h2>Some examples of our projects</h2> <ul> <li>Configuring and optimizing complex Zuora CPQ product catalogs, pricing models, and rate plans to support new subscription offerings and growth initiatives.</li> <li>Building and maintaining scalable integrations between Zuora CPQ, Zuora Billing, Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud), and other core finance systems to streamline Quote-to-Cash workflows.</li> </ul> <h2>What you'll do</h2> <ul> <li>Configure, customize, and extend Zuora CPQ to support accurate quoting, subscription lifecycle management, and scalable Quote-to-Cash processes.</li> <li>Design and maintain complex Zuora product catalogs and rate plan configurations, including pricing models, rules, and quote templates aligned to business needs. Design, maintain, and optimize complex Zuora CPQ product catalogs and rate plan configurations, including pricing models, rules, and quote templates aligned to business needs and supporting new subscription offerings and growth initiatives.</li> <li>Implement, optimize, and support scalable integrations between Zuora CPQ, Zuora Billing, Salesforce (Sales Cloud and Service Cloud), and other core finance systems using REST APIs, Apex, and related tools to streamline Quote-to-Cash workflows.</li> <li>Develop, refine, and maintain end-to-end Quote-to-Cash flows across quoting, amendments, renewals, cancellations, billing, and revenue recognition.</li> <li>Partner closely with business stakeholders and Enterprise Applications Engineering team members to translate detailed requirements into robust, performant technical solutions.</li> <li>Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to Zuora CPQ configurations, customizations, and integrations to ensure high availability and reliability.</li> <li>Support data migration, data quality, and reporting efforts, including moving data from legacy systems into Zuora and enabling actionable analytics.</li> <li>Create and maintain clear technical documentation for CPQ configurations, integrations, and operational processes to support long-term scalability and knowledge sharing.</li> </ul> <h2>What you'll bring</h2> <ul> <li>4+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience designing, implementing, and optimizing Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) solutions across the full Quote-to-Cash (QTC) lifecycle. Large plus, if experience is with Zuora CPQ.</li> <li>Ideally, technical expertise in Zuora Billing configuration and administration, including complex product catalog, rate plan, pricing, and rules management.</li> <li>Strong experience integrating CPQ with Salesforce (Sales Cloud and Service Cloud) and other core business systems using REST APIs, Apex, and related integration or middleware tools.</li> <li>Expertise with Salesforce technologies such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and Approval Processes, with the ability to design scalable, maintainable solutions.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving high-impact CPQ and billing issues, including customizations, integrations, and data quality challenges.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to drive development tasks independently from concept through deployment.</li> <li>Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with finance, operations, and go-to-market stakeholders in a distributed team environment.</li> <li>Openness to diverse backgrounds and transferable skills, with a commitment to GitLab's values, inclusive culture, and agile, remote-first ways of working.</li> </ul> <h2>About the team</h2> <p>The CPQ Developer is part of the Enterprise Applications Engineering team, which focuses on building and maintaining the finance and revenue systems that power the company's growth. We own critical initiatives across Zuora, Salesforce, NetSuite, and other connected platforms, with a strong emphasis on reliable, scalable Quote-to-Cash processes. We operate in a highly collaborative, remote-first environment and work asynchronously across regions, guided by GitLab's values of transparency, iteration, and open communication. We face the challenge of designing robust, integrated subscription and billing solutions at scale while continuously improving system performance, data quality, and user experience. The base salary range does not include any bonuses, equity, or benefits.
