SENIOR DATA ANALYST, STRATEGIC INTELLIGENCE
We’re looking for a rigorous, technically strong data analyst to join our Strategic Intelligence team at CreatorIQ. This is a new and growing function within our Strategic Services organization, and this hire will play a foundational role in shaping how we extract value from some of the richest datasets in the creator marketing industry.
This role is an analytical translator. It is not a data engineering role and it is not a client services role. You will work with proprietary and panel data, build from raw datasets toward client-facing insights, and produce the analytical work that our strategy team presents to enterprise brands. You will write SQL daily, apply statistical methods, structure and govern data, and produce defensible analyses that answer real business questions.
We are not looking for someone who delegates analysis. We need someone who does the work: pulls the data, structures it, questions it, finds the story in it, writes the narrative around it, and knows when to raise a red flag. If you care about analytical rigor, defensible methodology, and getting the answer right rather than getting it fast, this is your role.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL GET TO:
Data Analysis & Engineering
-
Write complex SQL queries across multiple data sources (Redshift, MS SQL, BigQuery, S3) to extract, transform, and structure data for analysis
-
Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and reusable datasets that serve recurring client deliverables
-
Work with proprietary creator marketing data, panel datasets, and multi-source marketing data to build analyses from raw data toward client-ready insights
-
Develop dashboards, reports, and data models using BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
-
Establish data governance practices including taxonomy management, naming conventions, and data quality checks across global client datasets
Statistical Analysis & Marketing Science
-
Apply statistical methods such as regression, clustering, forecasting, trend analysis, factor analysis, and significance testing
-
Bring a marketing science foundation: understand concepts like Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), media mix optimization, incrementality, and attribution — not just marketing operations, but how marketing channels are measured and evaluated
-
Support advanced analytics projects including segmentation, benchmarking, MMM data preparation, and modeling
-
Evaluate data quality, identify biases (selection bias, confirmation bias, survivorship bias), and ensure analyses are methodologically sound
-
Be comfortable with ambiguity in methodology: be able to say “this analysis is directional, here’s what would make it stronger” without freezing. Know the difference between a perfect answer and a useful one
-
Challenge assumptions, push back on poorly scoped requests, and help stakeholders understand what the data can and cannot tell them
Writing & Communication
-
Produce clear, well-structured written deliverables (reports, white papers, analytical summaries) that translate complex findings into client-facing narrative
-
Write with precision and clarity: the output of your analysis needs to stand on its own and be understood by non-technical stakeholders at enterprise brands
AI & Automation
-
Leverage modern AI tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Perplexity) to accelerate analysis and improve workflows
-
Collaborate with the engineering services team on automation and tooling to scale data analysis and reporting
Collaboration & Strategic Contribution
-
Partner with the client-facing strategy team to scope analytical projects, define methodologies, and ensure the right questions are being asked
-
Collaborate with the engineering services team building automation, dashboards, and prototype tools
-
Contribute to new analytics initiatives, service offerings, and thought leadership
WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR THIS POSITION:
-
5+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, marketing science, or quantitative research roles
-
Strong SQL skills (must-have, non-negotiable) and experience working with large, complex datasets
-
Python, R, or both for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation
-
Marketing science foundation: you understand concepts like MMM, media mix, incrementality, and attribution — not just marketing operations, but how marketing channels are measured and evaluated
-
Solid understanding of statistical methods and when to apply them (regression, clustering, time-series, significance testing)
-
Strong writing ability: you produce client-facing narrative, not just data outputs. Your written work needs to stand on its own
-
Comfort with methodological ambiguity: you can work with imperfect data, communicate limitations clearly, and still deliver useful, defensible analysis
-
Ability to work independently, structure ambiguous problems, and execute without waiting to be told what to do
Nice to Have:
-
Experience with data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)
-
Direct experience with Marketing Mix Models, attribution models, or incrementality testing
-
Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
-
Experience with AI coding and research tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Perplexity)
-
Familiarity with data governance, taxonomy design, or data quality frameworks
-
Background in social media analytics, influencer marketing, or the creator economy
-
Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing Science, or related quantitative degree
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT
-
First analytical hire on a new team within a 12-year-old company that has some of the richest creator marketing datasets in the industry. You will help define how we unlock that data.
-
Builds from proprietary and panel data toward client-facing insights. Your work directly informs how major enterprise brands (CPG, retail, fashion, beauty, media, entertainment) make decisions about creator marketing.
-
You will work alongside a client-facing strategy team and an engineering services team building automation and tooling. Your analysis sits at the center of both.
-
Opportunity to develop new analytical methodologies, launch new services offerings, and shape the analytical practice from the ground up.
-
We actively encourage the use of AI tools. If you’re already using Claude, Codex, or similar tools in your workflow, you’ll fit right in.
-
This role may involve occasional travel to meet with clients or team members in London or other locations
