Our work spans both ground and robot software, creating a unified model for task delivery, state management, and execution reasoning. As a core software capability, the Tasking Team's work directly enables mission-critical operations across all domains, across Anduril products and missions, and <a href="https://developer.anduril.com/">developer program partners</a> integrating with the Lattice SDK. Our solutions are designed for real-world deployment in the most demanding operational scenarios, where the ability to maintain command and control of autonomous systems can make the difference between mission success and failure. <h3>ABOUT THE JOB</h3> We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team, where you will design and develop the core task execution framework onboard autonomous vehicles, enabling reliable command and control through our Lattice Autonomy stack. You will collaborate closely with platform teams, autonomy engineers, and end users to create solutions that enable efficient, reliable tasking of autonomous systems in real-world defense scenarios. WHAT YOU’LL DO <ul> <li>Design and implement core components of our Tasking framework that runs onboard autonomous vehicles as part of Lattice for Mission Autonomy</li> <li>Develop robust, fault-tolerant systems that can operate reliably over denied or degraded communications links</li> <li>Create interfaces that enable third-party systems to integrate with our Tasking framework through the open source Lattice SDK</li> <li>Collaborate with autonomy teams to ensure their platforms can reliably receive and execute tasks</li> </ul> <h4>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</h4> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent experience</li> <li>5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on distributed systems or robotics</li> <li>Deep experience with C++, Rust, or similar systems programming languages</li> <li>Proficiency with protocol design and implementation (gRPC, protobuf, etc.)</li> <li>Experience building software solutions involving significant amounts of data processing and analysis</li> <li>Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work across multiple engineering teams</li> <li>A desire to work on critical software that has a real-world impact</li> <li>US Persons: Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities</li> </ul> <h4>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS </h4> <ul> <li>Experience with autonomous systems or command and control systems</li> <li>Background in developing systems for defense, aerospace, or other mission-critical applications</li> <li>Familiarity with software development for embedded systems or resource-constrained environments</li> <li>Distributed communication networks and message standards</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range">$191,000—$253,000 USD</div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion">The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
