The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design.<br><br><strong>WHAT YOU'LL DO</strong></p> <ul> <li data-uuid="93589acc-959b-462f-bacf-de566c01d871">Own hardware from concept generation to real-world use.</li> <li data-uuid="290b198c-9d11-4aa9-a210-318118f8f279">Utilize first principles physics as a basis for all decisions.</li> <li data-uuid="0ae352f0-faf1-447f-90b7-0a2f3b007297">Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production.</li> <li data-uuid="fab5be0a-b300-49d7-bdba-8e94c3f9c102">Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.</li> <li data-uuid="b85b5d4e-4701-4750-a6f5-f67164b0cf54">Contribute to the development of new optical systems by assisting in design and implementation efforts.</li> <li data-uuid="30337dae-746d-4bec-b934-cf0af01f710c">Design and document fixturing for prototyping and production efforts.</li> <li data-uuid="d2fabb3c-fda2-4a84-9747-3db4c166e43d">Create and maintain manufacturing and process documentation to support efficient workflow.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></h4> <ul> <li data-uuid="b7396969-3098-4f36-9090-b1533209b38c">Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.</li> <li data-uuid="ea7655ee-b418-40b3-9cc7-ae3174ad49c3">Experience in mechanical design, hardware development, or integrated product development and testing, ideally with complex electro-mechanical systems.</li> <li data-uuid="4dc4dd8c-ce09-4128-833d-32ce2bcd5d0d">Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo) and a willingness to quickly adapt to new tools.</li> <li data-uuid="7e0c9b92-3d8e-4bee-b4b1-322876d8d40d">Demonstrated ability to create high-quality engineering drawings that meet industry standards, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&amp;T).</li> <li data-uuid="b75aa34f-34f5-4b4b-a050-742f0021ef47">Experience with thermal and structural analysis (e.g., FEA) for robust design validation.</li> <li data-uuid="d40d245d-09b9-4f6b-8e64-9a95c642be1a">Ability to integrate electronic components into mechanical designs (motors, controllers, sensors, etc.).</li> <li data-uuid="3423938b-e146-425c-ba43-5c0e7302a07b">Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles.</li> <li data-uuid="3423938b-e146-425c-ba43-5c0e7302a07b">Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$85,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$112,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span data-contrast="auto">The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
