This is a high-impact role responsible for end-to-end logistics strategy, execution, and carrier management across Australia. You will act as the regional owner of logistics and transportation functions, ensuring our supply chain is fast, resilient, and cost-effective in support of mission-critical programs. This role requires a leader who can operate at both strategic and operational levels—designing scalable logistics solutions while also driving day-to-day execution with precision. WHAT YOU’LL DO Regional Logistics Leadership <ul> <li>Own and lead all logistics operations across Australia</li> <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for regional transportation and logistics strategy</li> <li>Partner with global logistics leadership to align regional execution with enterprise strategy and objectives</li> </ul> Carrier Strategy & Execution <ul> <li>Develop and execute carrier strategy across all required modes including over the road (LTL, FTL, etc.) air, ocean, and parcel.</li> <li>In partnership with global logistics leadership, source, negotiate, and manage relationships with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and last-mile providers</li> <li>Drive service level performance, cost optimization, and capacity planning</li> </ul> Logistics Strategy & Network Design <ul> <li>Design and optimize distribution flows, routing strategies, and transportation service offerings</li> <li>Identify opportunities for network efficiency and cost reduction</li> <li>Build scalable processes to support rapid growth and program expansion</li> <li>Partner with internal compliance teams and external brokers to ensure import/export compliance</li> </ul> Procurement & Commercial Ownership <ul> <li>Lead regional logistics sourcing and procurement efforts in collaboration with the enterprise logistics strategy and team</li> <li>Run RFPs, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance Build scalable processes to support rapid growth and program expansion</li> <li>Own regional logistics spend and deliver against cost targets</li> </ul> Performance & Continuous Improvement <ul> <li>Establish and track KPIs (cost, service, transit time, reliability)</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics network</li> <li>Implement tools and reporting to increase visibility, control and standard work QUALIFICATIONS </li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (master’s preferred).</li> <li>8+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management</li> <li>Proven ability to build and scale logistics operations in a regional or international environment with a strong focus on the Australia market.</li> <li>Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment</li> <li>Experience in defense, aerospace, or high-technology manufacturing environments is a plus.</li> <li>Excellent leadership, vendor management, and stakeholder communication skills.</li> <li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.</li> <li>Six Sigma certification or Lean training preferred.</li> <li>Willing and able to travel at least 15% of time</li> <li>The ability to obtain and maintain a NV2 security clearance. </li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion">The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
