Anduril has brought to the market a unique, ultra-long-range, full-ocean-depth platform, and a completely refreshed maritime vehicle and flexible manufacturing architecture that scales from "large" to "extra-large" vehicle sizes. We work in a highly dynamic environment where collaboration and idea sharing are a way of life.</p> <h3>ABOUT THE JOB</h3> <p>We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Quonset Point, RI. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing Anduril’s manufacturing operations for best-in-class quality, reliability, speed, and asset utilization, all while meeting critical customer deployment and internal development timelines at the newly opened Quonset facility focused on at-rate Maritime Production. This Industrial Engineer will be instrumental in taking a data-driven approach to baselining, analyzing and improving the production lines and associated manufacturing processes to meet these objectives. Executing on this responsibility will entail active collaboration with other Anduril teams, including but not limited to Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Business Operations.</p> <p>If you are someone who is passionate about production with a strong desire to tackle operational challenges and contribute creative solutions in a fast-paced environment, then this role is for you.</p> <h4>WHAT YOU’LL DO&nbsp;</h4> <ul> <li>Conduct detailed time studies for every build to establish benchmarks and identify inefficiencies; benchmarking and feeding capacity analysis and performance evaluations</li> <li>Provide reports and actionable insights to the teams and leadership based on collected data</li> <li>Assist in creating and maintaining accurate work standards and documentation</li> <li>Optimize work cell design, material presentation and operations workflows to enhance productivity</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies</li> <li>Provide training and support to staff on process improvements and best practices</li> <li>Evaluate and integrate new technologies, tools, or machinery to improve operational efficiency</li> <li>Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement</li> <li>Support cost reduction initiatives and resource optimization strategies</li> <li>Ensure workplace safety and ergonomics in process designs</li> </ul> <h4>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</h4> <ul> <li>3+ years past experience in a rate manufacturing environment and production-type role where complex mechanical and/or electrical assemblies were built</li> <li>Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of proper time and motion study methodologies</li> <li>Experience using real operational data to make informed suggestions and decisions</li> <li>Understanding of the means and methods of how material flows around a facility including but not limited to pull systems + triggers, Kanban and MIN MAX calculations</li> <li>Experience using discrete event simulation</li> <li>Prior knowledge and interaction with a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for production operations</li> <li>Prior knowledge and interaction with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system</li> <li>Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles/implementation</li> <li>Ability to demonstrate a willingness to take on substantial responsibility across manufacturing, engineering, and operations functions with a bias towards speed and accuracy</li> <li>Strong ability to read technical documentation such as drawings and CAD data, understanding of a variety of hardware manufacturing processes for both electronics (PCBAs, sensor hardware, etc.) and structures, mechanical components, and electromechanical systems</li> <li>Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance</li> </ul> <h4>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;</h4> <ul> <li>Demonstrated understanding of and experience using MODAPTS</li> <li>Data analytics knowledge and experience including the use of SQL to create complex custom queries, mining and joining tables from production and supply chain databases (experience with Palantir Foundry a plus)</li> <li>Experience and demonstrated skills with Simio (DES software)</li> <li>Experience and demonstrated skills with AutoCAD</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in industrial, mechanical/aerospace/manufacturing, electrical, or computer engineering</li> <li>2+ years past experience in a rate manufacturing environment and production-type role where complex mechanical and/or electrical assemblies were built</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$98,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$129,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span data-contrast="auto">The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
