Astranis designs, builds, and operates its satellites out of its 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California, USA.</p></div><h4>Senior Electrical Reliability Engineer</h4> <p>As Senior Reliability Engineer with Astranis, you will play a critical role in ensuring our spacecraft electronics and systems meet our reliability and availability needs. You’ll support the team in pushing the boundary of what is possible in a geo-synchronous spacecraft design and enable performance in space that has not been realized to date. You’ll ensure that Design for Reliability is at the forefront of our engineering processes.</p> <h4><strong>Role</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Collaborate with a broad and multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure that our spacecraft will operate reliably over their entire mission duration</li> <li>Perform reliability and availability analysis using Reliability Block Diagrams and DFMEA</li> <li>Advise engineers on optimal redundancy architecture</li> <li>Support the engineering and production teams with design reviews, failure analysis and root cause analysis</li> <li>Plan and manage EEE component tests, defining reliability targets, sample sizes, and stress conditions for internal or external test labs</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Requirements</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, or a related engineering field</li> <li>5+ years of experience as a reliability, component, or electrical engineer</li> <li>4+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: physics of failure, semiconductor physics, design for reliability, functional safety, or accelerated testing</li> <li>Experience in electrical design, including components, circuits, PCBs, or electronic assemblies</li> <li>Experience in reliability statistics and data analysis</li> <li>Strong analytical skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience performing failure analysis and destructive physical analysis investigations to provide corrective actions and paths to closure</li> <li>Familiarity with manufacturing processes and testing methodologies for electronic components</li> <li>Knowledge of accelerated test profiles for component-level screening and qualification testing</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><div><strong>What we offer: </strong></div> <div> </div> <div>All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.</div> <div> </div> <div> <p data-path-to-node="3">Base pay is just one component of Astranis’s total rewards package.
