The firmware team at Anduril develops core technology used across multiple products</span><span data-contrast="auto"> </span><span data-contrast="auto">such as Ghost, Barracuda, and Roadrunner. This role will work closely with Electrical Engineering and RF teams to develop wireless radio solutions for our autonomous vehicles. You'll contribute to low-level board bring-up as well as networking protocol design and implementation.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></p> <h4><strong><span data-contrast="auto">WHAT YOU'LL DO</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"335559738":120,"335559739":120}"> </span></h4> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Work closely with cross-functional teams to define software architecture and interface specifications for embedded wireless systems</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Analyze and implement wireless protocols and vehicle command/control schemes</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Implement low-level device drivers and board support packages for software-defined radio products</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Own complex firmware features of an embedded system</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Quickly debug and troubleshoot issues that span the electrical, firmware, and software boundaries</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Help select microcontrollers and peripherals and review schematics with electrical engineering team</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Concurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> </ul> <h4><strong><span data-contrast="auto">REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"335559738":120,"335559739":120}"> </span></h4> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="auto">BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience: 5+ years of experience in firmware/embedded software development, ideally with a focus on embedded wireless or networking products.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong C coding ability for embedded systems</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience with one or more microcontroller cores (ARM, AVR, MSP430, RISC-V, etc.)</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience developing firmware in RTOS (ThreadX, FreeRTOS) environments</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Solid debugging skills using JTAG/SWD, Oscilloscopes, and Logic analyzers</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Understanding and application of coding best practices, testing methodologies, and performance optimization</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> </ul> <h4><strong><span data-contrast="auto">PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"335559738":120,"335559739":120}"> </span></h4> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Solid experience with common bus protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, WiFi, BLE, Ethernet, etc.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience with networking protocols (such as TCP/IP) and wireless access methods (such as CSMA/CDMA/TDMA and FDM/TDM) and their effect on throughput, latency, and system capacity</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Understanding of queuing, bandwidth allocation, and wireless interfacing</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience with power management and low-power design techniques</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Familiarity with hardware schematics, datasheets, and PCB layouts</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Have a bias for action.
