We are looking for passionate individuals who are eager to explore uncharted waters and contribute to our innovative projects.</p></div><h2><strong>Position Overview</strong></h2> <p>We are seeking a Robotics Software Technician to help sustain and improve Skild’s internal robot operations.</p> <p>In this role, you will take ownership of complex diagnostics, repairs, and design improvements to keep our robotic systems running smoothly. You will work closely with AI and robotics engineers, as well as operations managers, to ensure technical issues are quickly identified, root-caused, and resolved—driving reliability and scalability across our fleet.</p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, software, and perception system issues across a large fleet of robots.</li> <li>Collaborate with engineers to identify recurring issues, recommend design improvements, and enhance serviceability.</li> <li>Communicate technical findings clearly and contribute to documentation, repair manuals, and troubleshooting guides.</li> <li>Perform CAD design, prototype fabrication, and robotic hardware assembly.</li> <li>Improve embedded control systems and implement electromechanical and perception systems.</li> <li>Conduct root cause analysis, debugging, and testing for sensors, edge compute devices, and control systems.</li> <li>Build dashboards (Looker, Tableau) and develop automation scripts in Python and Linux.</li> <li>Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and recurring technical issues.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>5+ years of full time work experience in relevant industry</li> <li>Strong experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and software systems.</li> <li>Proficiency in CAD design and prototype fabrication.</li> <li>Familiarity with embedded control systems, perception technologies, and electromechanical components.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.</li> <li>Experience supporting large fleets of robots or complex automated systems.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
