As Director, Income Tax Provision &amp; Compliance, you’ll lead income tax reporting and compliance while building the processes and controls needed to support a growing, global public company. This role combines technical depth with operational rigor - owning ASC 740 provision, overseeing compliance, and partnering cross-functionally to drive accuracy, readiness, and scale.</p> <p data-start="113" data-end="556">This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.</p> <h4>What you’ll do at Figma:</h4> <ul> <li>Lead quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740, including managing key timelines, deliverables, and reviews</li> <li>Own deferred tax calculations, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions (FIN 48), including effective tax rate analysis and forecasting support</li> <li>Manage U.S. federal, state, and international income tax compliance, including coordinating and reviewing filings with external advisors</li> <li>Oversee tax-related disclosures for SEC reporting (10-Q/10-K) and partner with Accounting to support audit requests and close processes</li> <li>Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting SaaS/digital businesses and translate implications into clear recommendations and action plans</li> <li>Support audits, notices, and controversy matters by preparing documentation, coordinating responses, and aligning on positions with internal stakeholders and advisors</li> <li>Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&amp;A/StratFin, Legal, and Operations to improve planning, forecasting, and decision-making (including M&amp;A due diligence and integration support)</li> <li>Build scalable processes and controls (including SOX-related controls over tax) and apply automation/AI where helpful to improve accuracy and efficiency</li> </ul> <div class="section page-centered"> <h4>We'd love to hear from you if you have:</h4> <ul> <li>15+ years of progressive income tax experience, including both tax provision and tax compliance responsibilities</li> <li>Deep expertise in ASC 740 and U.S. corporate income tax, including deferred taxes, valuation allowances, and FIN 48/uncertain tax positions</li> <li>Experience leading quarterly and annual provision cycles in a public company or similarly complex reporting environment (including SEC reporting exposure)</li> <li>Experience managing and developing people (this role will lead a tax manager) and coordinating work with external advisors</li> <li>Experience preparing for, implementing, or modeling OECD Pillar Two requirements (or closely related global minimum tax readiness work)</li> </ul> <h4>While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:</h4> <ul> <li>SaaS/technology and/or high-growth public company experience&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with multi-state and international tax provision topics (e.g., GILTI/Subpart F/FDII) and/or global nexus considerations&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience supporting M&amp;A tax workstreams (due diligence, structuring, and post-close integration)&nbsp;</li> <li>Advanced Excel and tax modeling skills; track record of improving processes through automation and modern tooling</li> </ul> <div class="section page-centered"> <div> <div>At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go.
