The team thrives on rapid iteration, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering high-quality hardware in challenging environments. As part of this group, you will work closely with design engineers, firmware/software teams, and test specialists to bring new capabilities from concept to field‐ready deployment.</p> <h3>ABOUT THE JOB </h3> <p>As an<span style="color: var(--ds-chart-gray-bold,#8590a2);"> <span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Engineering Technician</span></span><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">,</span> you will be a hands-on enabler of both prototype and production hardware related to electronic warfare systems. You will support multiple projects by handling assembly, rework, test setup, maintenance, and field readiness activities. This role is essential to keep engineering momentum high, ensuring hardware is built to specification, tested thoroughly, and maintained to perform reliably under operational conditions.</p> <h4>WHAT YOU’LL DO </h4> <ul> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="5339395d-3d25-406d-93db-90fb7c661655">Assemble, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical prototypes and systems, including precision mechanical structures, actuators, and mechanisms.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="0dc550b6-baec-4fc2-9e42-c6a8f21b8440">Perform mechanical rework and modifications, including drilling, tapping, cutting, and assembling metal, plastic, and composite components.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="7cef7783-439f-4ea7-bae4-a9abbbf221eb">Support integration of mechanical and electrical subsystems, including installation of motors, sensors, wiring harnesses, and control systems.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="54363bf8-f145-4e78-8ea2-34e8d3f5481f">Execute test procedures for mechanical assemblies, including setup of instrumentation (force gauges, torque meters, vibration systems, etc.), data collection, and report generation.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="546f617a-739c-43cc-9101-14a3b0190fc0">Troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues such as alignment, fitment, or wear-related failures.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="d2406acc-22fe-46d5-a8fb-d394d78336b9">Fabricate mechanical fixtures, brackets, adapters, and custom parts using hand tools, power tools, or manual machining techniques to support engineering workflows.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="77195f9f-2359-4a7b-8901-1837f56951f4">Conduct incoming inspection of mechanical components, assemblies, and fasteners for quality, workmanship, and compliance with specifications.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="8209a37e-7f0e-4178-aa00-9e8ddf1c773e">Build, test, and verify cable assemblies and wiring harnesses for mechanical systems, ensuring proper termination, routing, and labeling.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="9ea5c934-6a08-4276-b2b2-1c0fae7b0076">Maintain lab organization, including safety practices for mechanical tools, equipment calibration, inventory control, and workspace cleanliness.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="fb276cde-3e43-43d3-bb11-67fe3c2ed209">Support system bring-up, validation, and durability testing for mechanical assemblies during development, production, or field deployment.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="2c8d5e4d-f152-4a01-a526-02d96d1ccfe8">Document build processes, test results, rework procedures, and lessons learned to improve quality, repeatability, and traceability.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="d8c7d127-4791-4fd7-abd8-d46b66b90183">Assist with packaging, assembly, and preparation of field kits for system deployment and readiness.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="7ddf5405-89d2-411d-84eb-271b322f62cf">Collaborate with engineering teams to meet program goals, ensuring mechanical systems are completed on schedule and to specification.</li> </ul> <h4>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS </h4> <ul> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="d45fbe9d-42ec-48a6-b420-9f549eb31383">Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, prototyping, and troubleshooting, including work with precision parts, fasteners, machinery, and material handling.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="1d6bde69-8fe6-4436-aed7-1d98a83f3391">Proficiency with basic mechanical tools (calipers, torque wrenches, hand drills, etc.) and techniques (drilling, tapping, bending, cutting, alignments).</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="a713921d-0aae-4510-bf51-37b0e5a80a4c">Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems, including integration of motors, actuators, and sensors; experience with wiring harness routes and mechanical mounts.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="070865f7-9568-4a18-b8f9-4f8d7085326c">Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including misalignments, wear and tear, and component failures.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="6d6fc743-e16d-4db6-bc9b-ce6eee8a4cfc">Understanding of safety protocols, such as OSHA requirements, clean workspace standards, and proper handling of mechanical tools and hardware.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="0847c365-f951-4b74-8c79-0ed989f5402f">Exceptional attention to detail for quality checks on parts, assemblies, fasteners, and wiring to ensure precision and reliability.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="da6da6a2-592b-47ac-9a88-85bf50842f98">Familiarity with reading mechanical drawings, assembly diagrams, and technical documentation; ability to follow detailed assembly work instructions.</li> <li class="text-start" data-uuid="86d71033-ed91-4b76-abb6-2741d36357b6">Ability to thrive in a dynamic R&D environment, adapting to evolving designs, timelines, and requirements.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" data-uuid="7e91faef-4664-4700-ba40-9fc70bbe9866"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance</span></li> </ul> <h4>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS </h4> <ul> <li data-uuid="2cfe8ec5-eda5-41db-89c1-98832fbae75e">Prior experience in the EW (Electromagnetic Warfare) or defense sector, or work involving ruggedized or harsh-environment applications.</li> <li data-uuid="151ac75d-40e1-43be-9c88-a8f7c6eed466">Experience with field deployment of hardware;
